Men's Bible Study:

  • 7:30pm, meet in the church basement.  For men of all ages.
  • We are starting this week with a new study on the book of Daniel.  It is a nice tie-in to the book of Revelation that we just finished up with, and we’re looking forward to digging into God’s Word.  It is an enjoyable evening of discussion and learning more about the Bible.  We’d like to see even more turn out, and this would be a good time to jump in.   We’ll get you a study guide when you show up on Wednesday or otherwise you can get one from Chet Top.

Mens’ and Womens’ Softball Games:

·         The congregation is invited to come watch our Women’s and Men’s softball teams play this spring and summer.  We’ll be playing on softball fields in Zeeland (across from Zeeland East H.S. or off of 100th Ave) every Thursday, and the information for each game will be posted in the bulletin.  Bleachers are provided.  Come on out and cheer on our teams!  Each game lasts about an hour.

·         Men’s Softball:  the time of our game on Thursday has now been changed to 9:00 p.m..

  • July 8: CRC Conference Grounds Annual Pig Roast Dinner 5-6:30pm
  • JULY 29:  All-Church Cookout and Softball Game starting at 6pm.  We’ll start with cooking out of hot dogs and hamburgers on the parsonage lawn (tableware, potato salad, chips, watermelon and pop will be provided)  and thenover to the school’s softball field.  This is a good way to finish up the mens/women’s softball seasons, and to invite whoever  wold like to join us to play along or to watch and cheer us on.  Small donations to cover the costs for food will be accepted that evening. Please bring your own lawn seats.  The alternate rain date will be Wednesday August 4.  Please sign-up in back of church by Monday, July 26
  • The Lakeshore Pregnancy Center is offering a training session for anyone interested in becoming a volunteer peer counselor.  This is a tremendous volunteer opportunity, one which daily impacts the lives of women in our community.  We have centers in Allegan, Allendale, Grand Haven & Holland.  The classes will be held at our Holland center August 3, 4, 6, 10, 11 & 13 from 9am – 2pm.  This is a 27 hour training and all classes are required.  If interested, please call Carolyn (ext. 12) or Sue (ext. 22), at 396-5840, Monday 9am-7pm, Tuesday-Thursday 9am-5pm.  If these dates don’t work with your schedule you are welcome to volunteer as a receptionist, donations support or data entry support.
  • Advance Notice:  The annual Hudsonville Fair begins on Sunday, August 22, 2010 from 7:00 – 9:00 pm with a Sunday Festival of Praise!  Featured in the program are pianist, Mark Kaniff, the Staffmen Quartet, Praise 4 Him and the Down Home Gospel Singers (from Hudsonville Reformed Church).  Greg Hewitt will be the worship leader and will lead the audience participation of many old-time hymns.  A special offering will be taken for the Outreach Ministries of Love In the Name of Christ.  Seating will be available on the infield and in the bleachers.  Don’t miss this!
  • Anticipating that Unity will open a resale store in the Hudsonville/Jenison area this fall 2010, Unity is inviting inquiries for part-time positions of store manager and assistant store manager.  Please call Unity’s Development Office at 616-662-4011 for more information and an application.  While applications will be accepted until the positions are filled, screening of applications will begin June 18
  • LoveINC.  RESALE MINISTRY, VOLUNTEERS NEEDED:  Love’s Treasures Resale Shoppe, is looking for additional volunteers to help half days in their clothing ministry on Tuesday, Thursday or Fridays.  Also, Love’s Treasures is looking for additional volunteers in the Electronic Testing area.  Training is provided.  Please call Nyla at Love INC, 662-3300 Ext.
