  • a reminder that by next week Sunday we will need to know whether or not you are attending this year’s Convention in Oregon .  Next summer is our scheduled work project, and the next Convention we’re attending isn’t happening until summer 2012.  We’re anticipating taking the Amtrak train to Portland (leaving that Saturday morning) and flying back home on that Friday.

Helping Hands Ministry:

Men's Bible Study:

  • 7:30pm, meet in the church basement.  For men of all ages.
  • We are starting this week with a new study on the book of Daniel.  It is a nice tie-in to the book of Revelation that we just finished up with, and we’re looking forward to digging into God’s Word.  It is an enjoyable evening of discussion and learning more about the Bible.  We’d like to see even more turn out, and this would be a good time to jump in.   We’ll get you a study guide when you show up on Wednesday or otherwise you can get one from Chet Top.

CRAFT NIGHT:

  • PINEWOOD DERBY :  anyone interested in making a pinewood derby car can pick one up from either Jim Diemer (298-1851) or Wayne Arens (786-2752 or 550-5423).  The weigh-in for the race will be March 22 and the race will take place on March 23.
  • Church Outing to the Griffins: if you signed up and ordered tickets for this Friday evening’s (Mar. 5) Grand Rapids Griffins hockey game, they are now here.  Those needing to pick up tickets from Rev. Wagenmaker are: Tim VanderPloeg, Tim Ponstein, Kyle Wabeke, and Mitchell Meekhof.
  •  “Congratulations” to Harv & Agnes Brower as they celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Tuesday, March 2.  Everyone is invited to an Open House Saturday, March 6 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m.. in the church basement to help them celebrate this event.
  • Advance Notice: our congregation’s Annual Day of Prayer worship service is Wednesday, March 10 at 7:00 p.m. (DV).  That’s when we get together to do the important spiritual work of praying for Crops & Industry, Schools & Families, Government and Military, Church and Missions.

  • March 19-20: All women are cordially invited to attend the annual Cornerstone United Reformed Church’s Women’s Conference 2010.  Mary Beeks will speak on the theme, “Put on Kindness.”  The conference will be held at Cornerstone URC in Hudsonville on Friday evening and Saturday, March 19 & 20.  Registration cost is only $20 this year!  Please pick up a registration form from the table in the back of church or contact Cornerstone church at 616-669-2190 to receive a brochure or with any questions.  Take advantage of this wonderful opportunity to fellowship with sisters in the faith as we glorify God together and grow in the knowledge of His truth.
